The past few months I have been taking a metals / jewelry class at the Des Moines Art Center and the name of the class was "Lost Wax Casting". I made three items but only had time to finish one completely. This was in the Student Show at the Art Center. It was inspired by barnacles, pods and sea life. I had a lot of fun in the class and may just take it again!

I took a metals class last year and loved it! We used several techniques, incl. lost wax, cuttle bone, etc... I love your ring. Really does seem to be inspired by the sea.
