{Oil on Board, 2010}
I finally finished this yesterday. It had been sitting untouched on my art desk for a week. The simple shapes and heavier acrylic underpainting made this a quicker piece than most. Painting in oil has been a journey since college and I am always trying to find ways to make it more efficient... because, hey, time is money. My favorite part of this piece is the fur on the bees' bodies.

I think she looks darling. About how much time did you spend on this?
Wow, what a sweet bear! This turned out wonderfully..I love the fur and the honey dripping...great job!!
Well done! I don't find it easy to work with acrylic and oil paint, so I am amazed how beautiful paintings people can make with this medium.
Aja-
It took between 4-6 hours to do.. which is quicker than my normal 8-10+ hours.
So cute! Such a big happy bear. Wonderful piece.
Cool! It looks really great! :D It's also nice to hear that your skills are improving, since you did this faster than usual!
