Field Trip to the Book Store
It was a rainy, gross day today. So I decided to go spend some time at the bookstore and sketch the people all around. Barnes and Noble is pretty big, so I moved around a few times and stopped for lunch in the cafe. I think I want to go out in public more often to sketch. A few curious shoppers wandered by VERY slowly, gazing down, but for the most part, people left me alone. What a peaceful afternoon of drawing with no pressure.
Of course, later in the afternoon, I had some actual work to do for a client...and that was pretty fun too!

Heheh - I love that it's a bookstore *and* so lively. Was it unusual for people to leave you alone, and perhaps because you were in a store? I find there are always a few people who'll come over and look when I'm sketching outside.
Your sketches are really something! What wonderful talent you have. Now I'm off to cry a bit.... I want t be in Barnes and Noble right now :o(
Hi Candace!
Your illustrations are wonderful and I love that you sketch in pen. Your work is wonderful and full of life.
I love it!
Have a wonderful weekend!
