Illustration Friday - Surrender

{Graphite in Sketchbook, 2011}
When I saw the word for Illustration Friday this week I immediately thought of doing a drawing of Jesus. Drawing this was a way of reminding myself that I can surrender my fears and worries to Christ instead of trying to take the world on all by myself. I'm also working on illustrating a story for a Catholic Publisher so iconography has been circulating in my mind lately. I loved drawing this!

Your Jesus looks so kind.
How can one not surrender to so much kindness?

nice image but when people were crucified, the nail was put through the wrists, not the palms. The hands would just tear and the person would fall off.

Your drawing is gorgeous, it really resembles the personality of Jesus because of the genuine smile, and the forgiving and peaceful illustration.

Excellent drawing. It really expresses the humble delight of Jesus and is a wonderful contrast compared to the main pictures of Jesus on the cross.

How long did this drawing take
