{Graphite in Sketchbook, 2010}
This is a section of a project that I am working on right now. I was a band geek in high school, and I totally LOVED it! I wasn't very good at memorizing music or marching, but I made most of my high school friends in band. It wasn't very hard to draw the band members of this illustration, because I was very familiar with how marching instruments are carried! This is a great example of how life experiences come in handy in illustration!

thanks... the whole project is definitely not familiar... but this part was!
