Illustration Friday - Subterranean

{Sketchbook w/ Digital Color, 2010}
There is nothing better than a little subterranean lovin'! I drew these carrots in my sketchbook and then scanned them into the computer and colored them in Photoshop. My favorite part of the illustration is the subplot unfolding in the background (or the above ground in this case!).

this is awesome.

when you scan stuff to color do you ink it? I don't think you do, so how do you treat your lines? just wondering what you do to them to get a pic lookin so crisp. usually when I just do straight pencils it's too messy to color in PS
