Illustration Friday - Flawed

{Charcoal on BFK, 2009}
I did this last night in the figure drawing class that I am taking. When I woke up this morning, I saw the theme was flawed. How perfect! Not only is the human body innately flawed...so are my drawing skills. While I know I have improved over the past few years, I still always see flaws and things that could be worked on. Happy Friday everyone!

Actually Candace, I think it is beautiful! I love to see art like this from artists who do "other art" for a living.

Oh, no, it's gorgeous! I always hated being critiqued by the professor in art. It may not look exactly like the model, but it's my interpretation, darnit, and who's to say that's wrong? Ok, so you can see why I never lasted long in art. :)

flawed we may be, but our beauty is what's inside us. great drawing.
