As The Wind

{"As The Wind", Mixed Media on Watercolor Paper, 2008}
{Detail}
This is the final piece that I am including in my portion of Crossroads Iowa 2008. I have a few older pieces and then the one from the last post. I used watercolor, colored pencil, acrylic and oil in this piece, and not necessarily in that order! I think photographing it did the colors much more justice, after several frustrating tries at accurate scans.
Does anyone out there have a fantastic scanner in their home that reproduces even the slightest nuances? Let me know! I may be interested in getting that...

Candace this is wonderful! I love the additional scenery and the bee flying alongside them... it just adds to the "pace" and energy of this piece. Great subtle technique along the border as well. Just gorgeous!!!

This. Is. STUNNNNNING! My jaw dropped when i saw it Candace. It is so magical and perfect in every way. I love it.

No advice on scanners, but I would sure like to know, too. I play with the settings, sometimes, but it's still not to my liking.

Gorgeous!! If only I can paint like that! I bet the original looks even better!

Sorry I am no help with the scanner...I only use it to scan in rough sketches...
