Alzheimer's Association Charity Auction

These are my preliminary sketches for part of a project I'm doing for the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Iowa. They are doing a charity auction Saturday, March 15, 2008 from 6-10 pm. The event is called "An Evening of Reflections". I found out about it through the Metro Arts Alliance of Greater Des Moines. I felt that this was a really worthy cause, and it's very important for me because Alzheimer's is the reason I never met my father-in-law. It's a horrible disease that affects so many people other than the patient.
The pieces for the auction are mirrors that have been altered artistically in some way. They don't have to be "Alzheimer's related", but I think the idea of a mirror ties into that pretty obviously anyways. I'm not very far on my project yet, because it's not due until March, but I've picked out my mirror from the Salvation Army and I've done some preliminary sketches for my idea. I needed to play around with learning how the bird body works in different positions, so this is my sketch page *hint* I'll be posting the finished product when it's done, so I'm not going to lay out the project outline quite yet!

Now that's a lot of talk for one silly little sketch page of birdies!!!
